Arkansas Food Bank Volunteer Page

Arkansas Food Bank schedules one-time volunteer opportunities throughout the year, and they have ways to serve on an ongoing basis. You can see available needs and sign up on their volunteer page - click "Visit their web page" to get started.

Birthright Arkansas Volunteer Page

Birthright welcomes volunteers of any age, race, gender, or religion who believe firmly in the Birthright philosophy and have a sincere desire to help pregnant women.

Coffee Hour Volunteer (After 8 & 10 am Masses)

Our Coffee Hour volunteers help setup and maintain our food & beverage stations when we have a gathering after the 8am & 10am Sunday morning masses. One-time opportunities or join our MOVE Together Connect Team. Betty Jo King coordinates these gatherings - we host around 6 - 8 per year.

Connect Team Trivia Night Volunteer

There are several volunteer positions for Trivia Night volunteers: food & beverage tables, check in, event setup and clean up. Volunteer one-time or join our team and help out regularly. We host 3 Trivia Nights per year. The Connect Team Leader is Nicole Lashbrook.

Divine Mercy Medical Mission

CTK Medical Mission partner is Divine Mercy Health Center. Volunteer opportunities are available at their monthly free medical mission days in local churches. Complete a one-time online registration, and you will have access to scheduling yourself for DMHC Mission Days through the VicNet app (same app used by CTK MOVE). Opportunities include both medical and non-medical roles. Missy Foley is the volunteer coordinator.

HOPE Projects from home

Our HOPE Projects distributes food & hygiene items to people in need. We schedule several opportunities a year to make them as a group, but they can always be done from home. Just download the list, purchase the supplies, make the bags, and return them to CTK for distribution.

Immerse AR Volunteer Page

Immerse AR serves young adults who have aged out of foster care until they reach the age of 24. They have a variety of ways to serve - including meals, tutoring, and mentor opportunities.

Italian Club - Baking cookies for St. Joseph Altar

Bake cookies at CTK in preparation for our St. Joseph celebration. Baking dates are Saturday, February 21st & Saturday, March 7th. All supplies will be furnished, and Janie & Mike Kelley will be on hand to share and help bake authentic Italian cookie recipes. Sign up on VicNet or contact Janie to let her know that you'll be there. Space is limited so sign up early!!

Jericho Way Day Shelter Volunteer

Our friends at Jericho Way have a number of ongoing volunteer opportunities. Volunteer areas include the Clothing Closet, showers, and help with meals. Must be 18 or older to volunteer. Email Ms. Cassandra Broadway to learn about their current needs.

Jericho Way Scripture Study

Help with our weekly scripture study class at Jericho Way Day Shelter from 9 - 10 am on Wednesday mornings. One-time & team opportunities are available. Our study is based on the upcoming Sunday readings. Team Leader is Ray Veach.

LOVE Notes Card Ministry

This team sends handwritten cards to people who are in nursing homes or hospices, homebound parishioners, people who are struggling, anyone who is having a difficult time or would welcome a note of encouragement. Team Leaders are Janie Kelley & June Timmermann.

LOVE in Blooms Flower Ministry

This team takes flowers that have been left behind from funerals, banquets, etc. and make small flower arrangements that are delivered to nursing home patients and homebound parishioners. Team Leaders are Kristin McConnell & Kathy Meriwether.

MOVE on Call

MOVE on Call is a pool of volunteers who help the CTK Mission Director with a variety of tasks. Needs might include delivering supplies, picking up donations, shopping, helping out in Mission Control, etc. MOVE on Call members volunteer as they are able. Betty Jo King, CTK Mission Director, is in charge of MOVE on Call.

Settled Souls Move Team/Donation Pickup

Settled Souls Move Team members help move the furnishings and household goods for our recipients. It is a volunteer pool, so you may serve as you are able. Move Team members are also notified of furniture donations that need to be picked up and taken to the storage units. Again, you volunteer as you are able. Team Leader is Mike Bernardo.

Settled Souls Stager

Settled Souls moves donated furnishings and household items into newly acquired housing of people who have been unsheltered. Stagers go on assessment visits with the move team leader, and select/box up the items from our storage units that will be moved into the newly obtained housing of our recipients. We need both lead stagers and assistants. Team Leader is Shell Davies.

Settled Souls Storage Manager

The Storage Manager coordinates the donations and storage of furnishings and household goods received by Settled Souls. Communication is a big part of this volunteer opportunity. Team Leader is Shell Davies.

Sewing Mission Class Assistant

Assist our teachers at their classes at St. Theresa (Tues & Wed AM) or St. Edward (Tues Evening or Sat AM), Team Leaders are Peggy Casey & Isabel Adams.

Sewing Mission Fabric & Supply Team

This team measures and folds fabric, sorts supplies, and distributes supplies across St. Theresa, St. Edward & CTK. Workdays are regularly scheduled at CTK, but workdays may be scheduled on demand. Team Leaders are Isabel Adams & Peggy Casey.

Union Rescue Mission Volunteer Page

Union Rescue Mission oversees Dorcas House and Nehemiah House. To volunteer at either location, please visit their volunteer page.

Usher Ministry

Our ushers play a vital role in the smooth functioning of Christ the King's weekend Masses. In addition to greeting people at the doors, their responsibilities range from ensuring proper seating & passing the collection baskets to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all. Teri Tribby, Director of Liturgy, coordinates our ushers.
