Divine Mercy~St Theresa Medical Mission
Charitable Health Program that addresses physical, mental, and spiritual needs
Our friends at St. Theresa are finally realizing their dream of a mission-based charitable health program for their community. Divine Mercy Health Center is busy planning their next clinic day at St. Theresa on Saturday, June 12th. Click HERE to learn more about this new mission.
Christ the King is thrilled to extend our mission work at St. Theresa. We are working with their parishioners and staff to setup their care coordination with DMHC.
DMHC is launching their "Take One" program. This invites physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, physical therapists, etc. to take one patient pro bono for one year. If you are interested in learning more about Take One or the Medical Mission, please contact Dr. Lee Wilbur HERE
Provide & Empower
Thank you! Your generosity with our HOPE Carts Donation Station (located in the vestibule of Christ the King) has helped charitable organizations in our community receive supplies that are needed to carry out their work. Our HOPE/MOMS Pantry List is published around the first of each month, and it has the most needed items for each organization. If an organization has an extended list of items, you can find a copy of that list HERE.
Our HOPE Soap and HOPE Sacks are going strong - over 10,000 bars of HOPE Soap have been made, and we have distributed hundreds of the food sacks to organizations that help people who are experiencing food insecurity.
Want to get involved? Go HERE to learn more about this program and the charitable organizations that we support. Donation lists/needs and project instructions are also available.
Monthly Mission Workday for Community and CTK Projects
Our First Saturday Mission Workdays began in November, and we've been overwhelmed by the response. While most of our volunteer activities have been held at Christ the King, we hope to have a variety of ways to volunteer in the community once the COVID restrictions have ended. And some of our work here at CTK has been distributed out into the community (HOPE Sacks, Supply Packs, and HOPE Soap).
Click HERE to find out more about this program. Our next Workday will be on Saturday, June 5th. Volunteer opportunities will be posted as they are confirmed. A big thank you to all of our volunteers so far - you've been a tremendous help to many people!
Help start our new Parish Library
The rumors are true . . . we are collecting religious/spiritual books for a new parish library, which will be located in the foyer of the Third Floor Ministries Bldg. An online catalog system has been selected - this will enable people who are home bound to select books that our mission volunteers can deliver to their front door.
How can you help?
Donate: Books may be left on the HOPE Carts.
Volunteer: We are about to begin cataloging the books, so we are ready for volunteers! Once the Library gets going, we will need volunteers to help maintain it, catalog new donations, deliver books, etc.
for Christ the King
Love Notes will be a Card Ministry for our parish. Our team leaders are Janie Kelley and Kristin McConnell. We are so grateful for their "YES" to develop this new mission. Your generous donations of cards will help us get off to a strong start. If you have a child who would like to decorate a card for this mission, just let us know.
This is a mission project we hope everyone participates in at least once. It just takes a few minutes to make someone's day! In the meantime, learn more about this new mission team and/or register a loved one who would appreciate receiving cards from our ministry HERE

Food Donation for
Free Library/Food Pantry
When our friends at CALS and Jack & Jill of America reached out to us for assistance, we couldn't say no to this great project. CTK Mission donated a box of nonperishable food from our HOPE Sack program to start off this box program in College Station.
We are now adding a second location to our support of CALS mission to help people experiencing food insecurity. CTK Mission will provide nonperishable food items to the Dee Brown Library, which is located by St. Theresa Church. CALS will also be a recipient of our HOPE Sacks Program.
Together, we can make a difference. We are always accepting donations of nonperishable food items. Click HERE for a list of items.
Sewing Classes & Projects at St. Theresa Church
The Pandemic ended our classes, but we were thrilled that our students and volunteers were able to sew and donate over 2800 masks to the healthcare and charitable community. We found another way to help out in the community by making GI button covers for Easter Seals. Our sewing team leaders are also working on project packs that the students can work on during the summer. We will have two classes in the Fall - a beginner class on Tuesdays and an intermediate class on Wednesdays.
We are grateful for all the volunteer hours these past few months - your sorting, measuring, folding, and labeling fabric donations has been a tremendous help to this team. Thank you so very much!
Abba House Garage
Construction Project for the Missionaries of Charity
We are excited to have the CTK Knights of Columbus help us realize the Missionaries of Charity's desire for a new garage. The current structure has termite damage to the degree that they can no longer park their van in it.
The Pandemic has put this project on an extended hold, but we are happy to say that the demo of the old garage took place on Saturday, February 27th. Click HERE to see pictures and stay tuned for updates on when the construction of the new garage will begin.
Fresh Food Collection
Fresh Food Collection
on Saturday, June 12th
Our first Fresh Food Collection was such a success, that we are planning another one on Saturday, June 12th. The drop-off and time will be the same - North Parking Lot of CTK on from 9:00 - 11:00 am. This time our collection will be delivered to the Divine Mercy Medical Mission at St. Theresa for distribution to patients who are food insecure.
The logistics of a fresh food distribution can be challenging, but our missionaries and friends are hard at work to make it happen. God is so good - our collection in March was so successful, we are excited to offer it again.
If this is the first you have heard about our Fresh Food Collections, we encourage you to sign up on the Mission email/text list HERE .
St. Bartholomew Church
is our current parish partner
One Church: Unite Arkansas in Faith and Mission is an initiative of the Diocese of Little Rock. St. Bartholomew is raising money to build a new parish center. This addition to their parish will not only allow them to have church-wide gatherings, but will provide much needed space to continue their work in the community - neighborhood food distribution, school supplies for children in need, and mentoring at-risk youth.
