Our First Saturday Volunteers did an amazing job taking inventory, sorting, and pack our household supply donations.  We are still planning for two families.

While we wait, please join us in praying for all the families who are faced with so many changes and challenges as they start anew in the United States.  Please pray also for all the volunteers who will be working directly and indirectly with the families - may the Lord guide our words, our deeds, and our hearts.

We are still waiting for our family to be assigned, but that gives us plenty of time to get the household supplies sorted and packed.  Our Donation Station will remain open for the time being, so you may leave your household donations on the HOPE Carts or in Room B on the Third Floor of the Ministries Building. We will begin posting specific items that we are lacking on Facebook, Instagram, and on this page.

We need volunteers to sort and pack supplies - Room B is available on Thursdays, so contact Betty Jo HERE if you'd like to come help organize the donations.

Thank you to all our Donation Station donors! In spite of a very rainy Saturday, we were able to collect household items for the Afghan family we will sponsor - still no word on when we will be assigned a family.

You may still donate items - what we collect over and above our need will be offered to the other Interfaith Sponsor Teams and then to charitable organizations in our community. Click HERE for a listing of suggested items. Your items may be left on the HOPE Cart, but if you have several bags/boxes, please contact the MOVE office HERE to arrange a drop-off.

On this feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, we are reminded of the beauty that comes from peaceful dialogue & encounters offered in love. May we find ways to love our neighbor, find beauty in our diversity, and bring peace into the world. Thank you all so much for your generosity!

We have not been assigned a family yet, so we are planning options.  However, our sponsorship will require us to provide housing, furnishings, household items, clothing, etc. as well as help with job placement, ESL, transportation, healthcare needs and assistance with school.
